I have been working on my social media consistently over the past few months and now have a substantial following on Twitter and have over 3,000 connections on LinkedIn. I also have an email list of over 3,000 and have been sending out a monthly newsletter since the beginning of the year. Each month I get more engagement and have had some amazing results.
All this activity has been building up and a few weeks ago it was suggested that I should set up a new breakfast networking group in Folkestone, Kent. I've been tweeting about it and my deputy and many of my friends have been retweeting and reposting so that we now have a full house for the launch meeting. This is an amazing result but when you look at our consistent effort, it shows that putting a bit of time and effort into your business really does pay off.
A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I'd be interested in submitting a guest post for Fruitworks in Canterbury. I submitted my copy and it was published today. It is now all over social media and has been shared and reposted which again is helping promote me and my business.
On top of that I bit the bullet last week and finally recorded some videos with Hax Media. I have been resisting this for quite a long time but I finally gave in and it was actually easier than I imagined. We recorded a conversation which was then edited and split into 8 videos. Here is the one on networking.
On top of all this, I have a new book being published next week and have quite a lot of pre-orders on Amazon which is really exciting.
All in all, this week has been amazing and as someone pointed out, it's only Tuesday!
